The WCM Audit system:
- Uses a scoring system to measure improvements in the performance of a production or logistics unit, and
- on the basis of the audit results, establishes a medium-term improvement plan referred to as a “route map”
Audit activities are carried out by trained auditors based on:
- Observation of the production site
- Comparison with established best practices
- Correct application of the WCM methodology, as defined by the WCM Audit Criteria
Scores are based on a total of 100 points. Awards are assigned at each of the following levels:
- Bronze at 50
- Silver at 60
- Gold at 70
- World Class at 85
